About Tracy Cauchi
Tracy Cauchi currently holds the position of Manager - Anti-Money Laundering at the Malta Gaming Authority. She obtained her Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta, following the submission of her thesis on Anti-Money Laundering in which she explored the challenges the Fourth Anti-Money Laundering Directive brought to the Maltese Gaming Industry. She has extensive knowledge in both the land-based and the remote gaming sector, primarily through the various roles she has held since joining the MGA back in 2014. Presently, in her current role as Manager with the AML Unit at the MGA, Tracy is responsible for directing the operations of the AML Unit and provides the team with the relevant legal and managerial direction. She acts as a liaison between the AML Unit and the FIAU. She also oversees and plans the execution of AML/CFT examinations by the AML Unit on gaming licensees. Tracy has also experienced the role of a litigation lawyer, having been exposed to this sector all throughout her law course at University and having practiced litigation in Civil, Family, Commercial and Corporate law.
